Salon Policies & Procedures

Book Appointment

OUR POLICIES are as follows:

  • You will need to complete a consent and medical intake form. We want to make sure you have time to make yourself comfortable before the start of your appointment.

CLIENT-ONLY IN THE PROCEDURE ROOM:

  • You may bring a friend or family member to your appointment, but they are not allowed in the procedure room

FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS:

  • A follow-up appointment also requires a deposit amount to ensure your time slot in our calendar.
  • However, if you cancel in less than 48 hours or don’t show up, the deposit is considered forfeited and any following appointments will be charged as a touch-up.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • Micropigmentation can be a lengthy service. When booking your appointment, the PMUA (Permanent Makeup Artist) is reserving a designated amount of time specifically for you. We require an initial deposit in order to reserve this time for your appointment. If you DO need to cancel for any reason, we require that you contact us to cancel at least 48 business hours from your appointment time so that we offer this time-slot to another client.
  • A NO-SHOW will result in a 50°/o charge of the remaining balance of the scheduled service. You will need to reschedule with a new booking fee to re-book. PLEASE reschedule if you are sick!

DELAYS:

  • Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment. If you are late, you’ll compromise the time the PMUA for your procedure, which in turn compromises your results.
  • In the event that a client is more than 20 minutes late, the procedure may be canceled, and the full-service fee will still apply, as we are not able to sell this time to another client.

RIGHT TO REFUSE TREATMENT:

Though it is extremely rare, we reserve the right to refuse treatment for the following reasons:

  • Undisclosed skin condition (including sunburn/suntan)
  • Under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • Any behavior which, in the opinion of the PMUA or the establishment, might compromise the artist’s or the establishment’s ability to work safely and comfortably.

In order for your new brows to heal properly (and look their best) these Pre & Post Care Instructions found below are of the UTMOST IMPORT ANCEi Pre-Care instructions are designed to limit bleeding and skin sensitivities during the service. Excessing bleeding during the procedure can dilute the pigment color and lead to poor
results.

PRE-CARE

  • NO alcohol or caffeine 48 hours before the procedure (Yes, there is caffeine in decaf coffee and tea!). This increases bleeding.

  • Avoid sun and tanning one week prior to the procedure. Intentionally tanning after the procedure will fade the tattoo much sooner

  • Do not take medication that can affect your blood coagulation (blood thinner) during treatment for example: Aspirin, Vitamin E or Pain killer, tranquilizer, blood pressure med, or diuretics.

  • Skin medication such as accutane sleeping pills, hormone replacement,
antibiotics and immune suppressants, some of these do not affect blood
coagulation, but will cause irregular results or increase pain. Consult your physician prior to taking, altering, or stopping any dosage of their medication.

  • Discontinue Retin-A, Glycolic, or other exfoliating products at least 3 days prior to treatment. If it’s a prescription-strength retinal consult dermatologist prior to booking. Botox and filler on the forehead, temple, and eye area should be avoided 1 month prior to the procedure for those who do not regularly receive injectables. Botox can temporarily alter the facial positioning it has been recommended to conduct the procedure when the effects of both have subsided and the site has returned to normal

  • No brow waxing. tinting, or threading one week prior (the more natural hair growth you have, the better!

  • Avoid Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion, or laser treatment within 6 months prior procedure.

  • If you are allergic reaction sensitive to any metals we will consider doing a pigment test.

POST-CARE

  • Keep the brow area clean by using a natural fragrance-free gel cleanser (such as Cetaphil) and water. Hands must be freshly clean. Avoid the use of abrasive washcloths or sponges.
  • Allow eyebrows to completely air dry before applying ointment. Apply the aftercare ointment given (for the amount of days recommended by your artist) with freshly washed hands or a Q-Tip.
  • DO NOT rub, pick, or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and pigment loss!
  • COMPLETELY avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks after your procedure. Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color while it is healing and can also cause hyperpigmentation and scarring.
  • Avoid pool, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers, and/or hot baths for 3 weeks.
  • Avoid sweating for a full 10 days. Any physical effort, gym, hot weather, or any other activities that may cause sweating through or on the brows will expel pigment from the dermis producing poor results.
  • Avoid sleeping on your face/brows for the first 10 days.
  • Keep your bangs and hair pulled back from your face for the first 10 days.
  • NO makeup or skincare products to be used on the treated area for two weeks.
  • NO facials, chemical treatments, and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
  • NO botox for 4 weeks. We recommend that it’s best to wait until after your touch-up heals to get Botox, as an educated injector will take your new brows into consideration when choosing where to inject.
  • After 10 days, once the area has healed completely, consider using sunblock when going out in the sun to stop the color from fading.
  • Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for 2 weeks after your procedure.
  • Avoid Retin-A, Chemical Peels, and Microderms around the brow area once healed.
  • The tobacco use can slow the healing process
